The EBT to McKelvey connection did indeed continue on a trestle where the land droops off. It was curved around to the right and joins some earthwork lower near the driveway to the first house on the valley road. I have been told by one (would like 3 sources to confirm) interview that the logs were unloaded off that steep trestle just behind the sawmill. The mill existed near the pole line where the giant crop of weeds are growing out of the sawdust pile.
There are signs of two track crossing over that driveway, one curving to the enginehouse and one up to the trestle and EBT connection. They switched together in the woods between the first two driveway.
If this story is ever going to be completed, it will need some photos of the operation to render and publication a chance for any sale. Maybe some Federal land office might have some photo in their files.
