Gee I even remember that, cause it was the year I did a work session, 1993. We chroniclers(sp) were meeting at the Cumbres section house to get a briefing from our leader Terri Shaw, and the work was being done on the west leg of the wye snowshed. I remember it was mostly all there in 68 and into C&TS days, so why the heck should they object to putting it back in the shape it was in when the states took over. After all much of the destruction took place under the watch of the new Railroad didn't it? I see no reason for not restoring some more of it, where its feasible that is. Of course the Friends seem to have their hands full with a million other projects it seems.
How's the caboose coming along. Is it expected to operate in the near future. I see the little refer 55 is still being worked on, and it was being worked on in 1993 when I was there. I guess thats a lifetime project,eh! Keep up the good work. Wish I could do more, but distance and health issues make it somewhat difficult.
