Those gloves are a good idea. I always have to take my glove off my left hand to operate the zoom control. One year my wife bought me one of those mittens where the end folded back, and you had your ends of your figures free, while the rest of the fingers and palm were in a glove of sorts. The problem there was the part of the mitten that folded back, made the glove too thick to go under the handle of the camera to access the zoom. The surgical gloves are a good idea, and you won't pick up germs either!
