Don't let those big Santa Fe numbers fool you. They were great for the businesses, but how did it happen. Luck, don't think so. Santa Fe housed, clothed, and fed one hell of a lot of refugees from Los Alamos and White Rock for a long period of time. They also took care of a very large group of firefighters and government recovery personel, not to mention the news media. Great for the Santa Fe economy, but it ain't tourism and what price did we all pay for that. Just something to think about.
