The wreck of 8 that you speak of is probably the one that caused the flipping of the tender tank. 489 has never been the same since she rolled over east of Chama in 1926, but oddly enough, she has the most miles of any K-36. Some of 497's problems could have come from the accident at Cumbres in 1960. Westside 7 is currently having one cylinder relined and another has a major crack in it. RGS 42 is in bad shape, but 20 is in no better shape. RGS 41 is also said to have a messed up frame, although I cannot confirm that. 476 also has a bent frame and who knows what else. Does anyone know how 499 ran? I know she piled up a freight at the east switch of Coxo Siding. If anyone knows details about 480's damaged cylinder, please let me know.
