Interesting! Most of that track is good for 25 MPH, with about 10 miles good for 20 and a few speed restrictions at 15 or head end restrictions at 10. Its fast. I don't get to run up there very much but its the prettiest stretch of railroad I've ever run.
Trains 1/2 have been just one crew for a long time. When I started here in 2013, Bennett was still a real eating house and I heard stories about how the train was divided amongst two crews. In the freight era, Bennett is where the Canadian and American train crews met and took their respective trains home. Apparently in the 70's there was a really good Chinese chef who worked at Bennett and that's what they cooked. In my time, it was a great place to hide out from passengers for a bit and the lunches were completely random. Stir fry, chicken marsala, beef roast... whatever the chef felt like making for the crew that was on sale. Only got to experience Bennett a few times that way, but it was a senior run for awhile partially because of the crew lunch.
Hopefully one day Bennett will return to its service as a real eating house and destination.
