Gee, timely question, just retired at age 65. I'm basically using my savings/pension until age 70, when I'll apply for Social Security. So, the 65-67 thing isn't a big deal at my house. Indeed, I'd hazard a WAG the majority of folk are in one of two buckets: 1) enough savings/pension to defer to 70, and 2) not enough of anything so had to take SSA at 62. Or keep working. I know folk who could easily retire but keep working, like what they're doing, more of them than I thought I'd encounter.
I started doing C&TS work sessions a couple of years ago, one per summer. Thought when I retired this year I could do more, not really, replaced work with a whole 'nother agenda. Well, I did get a house pass for Session A and the charter special session in September, but the rest of the year is pretty well filled up with family travel and honey-do's. Oh, and every-other-Saturday on the D&RG baggage car restoration here in Colo Spgs. 15-minute drive to that, awfully convenient...
