At Huigra we had a 30 minute layover to service engine 44, to give the crew time for lunch, and to meet the mixed train powered by engine 45. The mixed train was right on par with some of the incredibly crowded trains I encountered in later years in places like Sri Lanka and Cairo (Cairo seemed the most dangerous). (I have to use movie frames here)

Even though the train appeared loaded to capacity (and then some), a large crowd was waiting at the depot to board
Eventually engine 45 charged loudly out of Huigra and it appeared that everyone had managed to climb on
