Another bad rumor.... *LINK*

I just got off the phone with Steve Sandberg concerning a totally different subject and happened to stumble across this thread while we were talking. We had a very good laugh concerning C&S #9 reportedly coming to the #261 shop. I can assure you that we may be narrow-minded in some respects but not "narrow-gauge minded" at this time. The shop crew's agenda is overflowing with work to be completed prior to hitting the road on June 20, enroute to the Grand Excursion assignment. #261 is getting minor staybolt, tube, superheater unit and valve work prior to an expected early June test steam-up. Skytop "Cedar Rapids" is nearing completion of her full Amtrak certification as is sleeper "Minnesota River". Tickets are still left for most of the trips, come along and ride with us if you are in the "neighborhood".
