How about the US Forest service cleaning up the MILES of dead trees on THEIR property? The spruce beetle damaged started under George W Bush, continued under Obama and Trump. Zero plan to clean up the mess in the Rio Grande forest by anyone. For those not aware, the US forest around Cumbres is the Rio Grande National forest.

A lot of people know I go up and clear dead Engleman spruce for firewood. The mess up there is unbelievable. Easy access for firewood collectors is usually blocked since its part of timber sale areas. The loggers have the equipment to get deep into the forest. Yet where are they cutting?

It's the US Forest service that needs to get an ultimatum. Clean it up or else. Very easy to give the C&T ultimatums when the owner of the forest full of dead trees does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO CLEAN UP AN EPIC DISASTER.

Why spend money that doesn't exist to modify locomotives for a property owner who's derelict with their property? There is no extra money after the non existent 2020 season. RR needs every $$ just to be able to open in May 2021.
