And don't blame Olaf, either. It's a fairly common problem that occurs with older slides – even KodaChrome – and even experts like John West, with far more experience than me, have been plagued by it — see the thread starting at [
ngdiscussion.net], especially John's reply at [
ngdiscussion.net]. One partial fix is to use PhotoShop's "Levels" tool to remove the over-all bluish tint from a "known" gray object - like the locomotive in your photo above, but that might not be enough in all cases. There was still a lot of blue on the aluminium-painted girders of the bridge (reflected sky?), so I highlighted them and then 'unsaturated' the color 'til it got close to light gray instead of light blue.
