Well, at this point I am up to 18 on the posting count scale, just a tantalizing 3 away from the 21 on the "Flying Eagles Thread". Camels, cows, and green steam engines on the narrow gauge have gotten me this far, but maybe BIRDS are the real key to catching up with Roger, so I am giving chickens on the 2-foot gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway a try.
This chicken and rooster have decided to get a move on in the face of the rapidly approaching 2-foot gauge 0-4-0. The engine only has a 4-man crew today - there are only the engineer, fireman, coal breaker, and one sander. The one sander has temporarily retreated to one of the coaches for a spot of tea (?) .You might think that the other sander has fallen off en route, but the train left Kurseong with only one sander, so there has been no unpleasantness, except perhapsfor a bit of extra slipping on the steeper sections of line.
The white chicken has yielded the right of way to the 0-4-0 by veering off on the uphill side of the track, but the rooster is not giving up that easily, and is keeping ahead of the engine for some distance
I should add that no chickens or roosters were harmed in the making of this sequence. Responses are appreciated so I don't have to go to more drastic lengths to reach a count of 21 (or even 22)
