Some years ago I called it Beaver Creek Canyon and Russ and others chastised me for calling it that. I must have seen that in Cinders and Smoke, but I think I also remember seeing a post card I bought in Durango one year. It had an excursion train there which said the mini-high line at Beaver Creek Canyon! But since everyone said that was wrong I now refer to it as Elbert Creek Canyon. The elevated area below Salona crossing would be difficult to get an elevated view of, like the place below Rockwood. The place below Rockwood is to me the most scenic shot a photographer can get without hiking a long way from Rockwood toward Silverton. Here is the place from Trackside in 2014. We walked down from Rockwood. Its the last clip on the preview.
