My Flickr album is only a very small fraction of what I've photographed. With the exception of the two most recent photos of the Bologoye-Ostashkov line, all of those photos are from a short 3 month period of living in Moscow for a semester while going to school in 2015. I've barely had time to process most of what I've photographed since returning in August.
I try to stop by the roundhouse at Podmoskovnaya once every couple of weeks. The week before this year's Expo1520 I caught one of the 9P 0-6-0Ts tag-teaming a switch move with one of the 4-8-4s to couple one of the other 4-8-4s back with its tender after turning them. Where else in the world could you ever hope to find something like that? Every time I've stopped by the roundhouse, there have been at least two to three locomotives under steam. The following week, the engineer of one of those two giant 4-8-4s invited me up for a cab ride. Moscow is steam paradise.
