What makes ng. special

The 4014 can be an impressive machine, but the real drama of a steam engine is when it is slogging it up a grade like the C&TS' K-36's do every day during the season. I don't expect to ever hear the 4014 really bark. Somehow ng. seems to have the advantage here, the ng. lines like C&TS, D&S, GLR, Roaring Camp seem to be far more likely to put on a good "steam" show, they may not be as big but they talk a lot louder!
