A couple of observations: a) Air tank on the roof might not be practical, that's a lot of weight, but that peculiar feature was also present on your inspiration. b) Link couplers are an interesting choice in the era of turbo-generators.

These were big for 1870's-era narrow gauge switchers, making in excess of 9,000 lbs tractive effort.
