I'm kind of thinking of WWII aircraft. Isn't it much better, from an historical/preservation point of view to have a B24 and a B17 flying at air shows, having riders, tours, and people being able to see them in their original form, than those same - and other - aircraft stuffed and mounted in a museum, or even in their crashed state on the side of a mountain somewhere?

I'd much rather enjoy 315 steaming up in Antonito than sitting on a piece of track under a shed somewhere, like 268...
