John, well done. With a caveat or three, imagine this was taken by Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Weston or Ansel Adam, using a view camera. It would be sharp and it would have depth of field. It would not have crisp steam clouds; they would show movement (slow shutter speed). The cars appear to be from the late 20’s/ early 30’s and using that time frame does allow for a better image quality than say 20 years earlier, although I’m sure you’ve seen late 19th and early 20th photographs that had both good contrast and were tack sharp, I think the contrast of this image could be lower for a better look.
