Don't overlook the Grand Canyon Ry.

I don't keep up with newer schedules, but the train from the Canyon used to get into town around 5:30P and you'd have good light then. I've shot it on the wye from the Peavine and that gets you some elevation.

If you are staying in town, and that's a fine idea, then think about getting the train leaving the next morning before you head West.

West of Seligman is a nice spot for BNSF, especially the old pump house remains at Pica. This is on old 66. Before I forget, there's a nice climb out of Seligman just East of town and there's good access from the road, best for morning shots.
