No one demeaned you, or singled you out. It was politely pointed out to all that flying a UAV comes with some attached rules. Like it or not they were made in the interest of public safety. I would guess at this point, that very few drone operators know the rules. However, that won't affect your liability if you get caught flying illegally or are involved in an incident. Kevin is a long time pilot and I'm a 35 year retired military and airline pilot. We know the potential outcome of a collision with an aircraft. It doesn't matter that you may think otherwise.
There is a way to fly legally in the Chama area. Contact the airport at 903-677-1447 and see if they have any operations planned.
The thing that troubles me is your attitude with the "get off your high horse" remark. That tells me that you likely don't care what is legally required and you will continue to do as you please. I hope I'm wrong about that.
