Here is a Google screen shot of the area shown in the photos.

A straight in approach to the airport would make the drone's location about 800 feet west of the approach path, but given the low hills directly in line with the airport, might a pilot make an approach parallel to route 17 and then make a 10 - 15 degree turn once past the hills? This would put the plane's path much closer to the drone's location
