If they stay on the east end then they are still required to swap out engines in Osier which is a tricky operation. They do rotate out the 4, right now 3 K-36 locomotives by basing them out of Chama. One comes in from Antonito, it gets a day to rest while the one resting goes out for two days. Two days on, one day off. With four K-36's, usually one exchanges shed time to keep operational days even. 463 would go out on the road for light days or when a doubleheader is needed.
