As others have guessed this is along the NG United Verde which ran from Jerome Junction on the Santa Fe, Prescott and Phoenix over to the United Verde Copper Co smelter in Jerome.
My previous "where" shot is the last few miles climbing up to Jerome through the tall cut at the upper left of the shot. Beyond that point was a location known as First View which gave travelers their first view of the Verde Valley as captured in the late afternoon photo below. The red rock country of Sedona is visible off in the distance.
On this trip I was looking for items off of the road related to the former use of the grade. I managed to spot a few rectangular telegraph pole bases, some wire and pieces of insulators.
I was also on the look out for the iron pipes noted on the valuation map for the line. These are the old flanged and riveted pipes unlike the corrugated pipes found in the modern road additions.
None of the bridges are left along this line but the nicely made stone boxes are found at the base of most of the large fills. Some of the floors are washing away and will eventually compromise the structures.
