Cool approach Bruce, 8M.
The semaphore is in Wynkoop Street, at the end of the building, far side.
I have Kenton Forrest`s book in front of me, "Denvers Railroads" page 11.
I quote, 'DENVER & RIO GRANDE STATION. 19th & Wynkoop Streets.1871-79
This wooden depot, longer than it was wide, served the D&RG until the bridge over Cherry Creek washed out and the railroad moved in with the DSP&P..."
Mr Forrest is not exactly correct. According to the City directory;
1879, Freight and Passenger depots, southwest corner Wynkoop and 19th.
This is what confuses me.I would imagine that to be the northwest corner!
Am I wrong?
1880, Passenger depot, Wynkoop street between Eleventh and Twelfth. Freight depot, southwest corner, Wynkoop and Nineteenth.
The Freight depot was on this corner from around 82 or 83. The Passenger Depot seemed to constantly change.
