Which article does "This" article refer to - the 1956 "Into The Freezing Darkness", or the 1969 'Blizzard' article?

SFAIK, the April, 1956 issue of TRAINS was the best one ever published, and IMHO should be reproduced in its entirety as a special issue of 'Classic Trains' for those too young (not yet Curmudgeonly enough) to have a copy of the original one stashed away.     smileys with beer
