All of the operating personnel continued to work out of Alamosa .Some went to Pueblo and Grand Junction . Nearly all of those men are retired ,or very close to it . Woody is one of the few I know that is still working and he might take the new 30/60 early retirement offered by the railroad and the rr. retirement board .
The shop and section men were hit very hard .Many finished their careers at abandonement ,though the D&RGW had been cutting these crews back for many years prior .
