Whatever happened to...?

This kind of goes with the Flying Emblem post from a few days ago...
What happened to the people who worked for the D&RGW at the time of the abandonment of the Narrow Guage?
I assume (Hate that word) that some were ready to retire and did. I imagine that others were reassigned to other duties....
Who all actually lost their jobs as a result of the abandonment?
I am thinking that it hit the shop crews the hardest....
Thoughts anyone?
