Wade's comments about the business aspect of tourist railroading are very true according to those people I know involved with such subjects. The San Luis Valley is very remote and those who find their way to Antonito or Chama go there on purpose with the desire to ride a steam train. There simply aren't enough tourist dollars to go around for two different operations so close in proximity.
I understand the desire to see the line to Creede saved, but I think there is already enough work to do to keep the C&TS in runnable condition. In view of the current circumstances, I don't think the Creede branch will come to reality.
