Here's portions of the "Chama Shop Improvement" drawing from 1909 showing a third boiler. I don't know if there actually was a third boiler or not, or if this is just a recommendation.
Looking west 'thru' the blacksmith shop wall:
Looking north:
Where earlier I had noted there were 2 engines in a new location compared to the 1900 drawing with only one, it's actually a duplex (the difference?).
Both images from "Shop Improvements, Chama, New Mexico", Card no. 4056, File no. 355, May 4, 1909, Equipment drawings - 6th;FFC16;Sf3;OVFF113, Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad Papers, WH512, Western History Collection, The Denver Public Library.
Good stuff, but I get a little itchy posting images like this. Granted, I bought the drawings and I'm happy to share them. I own the drawings but that doesn't mean I can then freely distribute them, well at least not sell them (copies of). I've purchased photos from CRRM and DPL and I wouldn't feel entirely comfortable posting them here, but I'd like to. We see a lot of images posted here, sometimes scanned from books. When are we in danger of crossing a line? Is it allowable to post an image from any source (good form requiring adequate provenance ['citation' was the word I was looking for], of course)? It seems to me posting an image not your own would be allowable in this format (online forum) as long as the source is fully disclosed.
Thoughts?
Am I being paranoid? Wait, did you hear that? I thought I heard something...
