The drawings I have show it to be 65 feet long. The would turn a K-36, the longest (coupler to coupler) engines in the fleet.
What isn't in the historical information above is why did the railroad leave the turn table in an unusable state of repairs for 14 years? Letting 8 of the 9 stalls go unused also. In my opinion the only reason would be that the way the line was operated during that time period, because of the larger engines, did not require the use of the TT and RH and they became surplus.
I have been corrected via back channel by J. Day. The TT was used up to about 1940 for turning engines.
