I seem to recall the tender of either #3 or #4 once being outside, sitting on its frame and trucks, but blocked up off the frame bed and detached from it for some reason. I do not know if it was #3's tender removed during the work underway in 1945, or #4's tender retained after #4 was scrapped. Perhaps both tenders were on site during the 1963-75 period From which I recall that one tender.
Today the tender tank of #4 (I have been told it was from #4) is lying in the woods in a low spot alongside the track roadbed maybe 500-800 ft. eastward from the engine house. There is no tender frame and/or trucks there, so the frame and trucks I mentioned above must have been scrapped in the early 1970s when they scrapped most of the ore cars.
