Re: Thoughts on Saving stuff

I just want to add my my support for saving all this stuff. I may be in the minority but stuff like these drawings are what really gets me excited! They are usually hard to find and closely gaurded and kept by those that have them. I have spent most of my life trying to get copies of these kinds of drawings. As a teen I was fascinated by an old Peerless steam tractor and I heard a guy who had many drawings from the factory. It was several years before I got around to contacting him. By that time his wife had taken all the drawings and burned them.

BTW the Mich Tech library has a large collection of drawings of the hoisting engines and equip used in the copper country mines. None of it is organized or cataloged. The archivist there is a great guy and with a little persistence will let you look thru them.
