Not necessarily John...no matter what the fuel is, there is a
potential and real savings on water and then fuel when a Superheater
is added. The question that some railroads faced was justification
for one, ie., did they work their locomotives hard enough to
raise the Saturated temperture enough to merit the cost of
Superheating. If all your lokey did was shuffle a few cars around
on level track, then the answer would likely be no.
