Right, not getting too much into the thermodynamics of it, super heated steam is steam at a temperature above what it would be if just collected from a boiler. The reason for superheating steam is a greater amount of energy obtained from the process with the same use of water. It made sense for steam (train) engines because little extra actual heat is needed to super heat the steam because of the running of it through the flues where as in some industrial settings superheating would take more energy. Look up a steam table to see the actual numbers for energy in superheated steam.
