Hi, Skip -
Not So! Once a Curmudgeon always a Curmudgeon. I'm just getting tired of everyone assuming that I want to paint
everything green. Eureka is BEAUTIFUL as is, and I wouldn't change a thing other than giving her more track to run on.
I'd like to see #489 with a green jacket next year because it is the 60
th Anniversary of her 'season in green' in 1950, and I'd like to see #488 sub for #483 with the Tuscan Red cab, domes and tender trim for the two weeks ending with Labor Day in 2010 because that's how #483 was painted on the histœric occasion of the first C&TS train into Chama forty years before.
No other Curmudgeonly or Grinchly plans in the works at this time, other than turning people green with envy when you and I join Ed Stabler in a hearty rendition of 'The Ballad of Festus Frothjaw', aka 'The Foamite Song' at the C&TS 40
th Birthday Party next August!
. . . and filming 'C7' – starring Roger Wigwam – on location in Georgianatown. (I'm working on an update – with a couple of night scenes – so we can get Michael Ripley, Alan Loomis and the lovely Lady Ashley involved in the movie!)
Happy Holly-daze!!
