Max;
Your concerns are well founded if you are on public lands or Native American lands and looking for antiquities. The location of the #14 wreck site is on private land, so the Antiquities act does not apply. The Antiquities Act was established in 1906 because so many private individuals were raiding Native American sites and stealing everything to sell for a profit. If the Act had not been passed most of our Native American heritage would have been lost.
One thing we would never consider ourselves is treasure hunters. We never go out on our forays into narrow gauge country with any profit motive and I think you will be happy with the outcome of our incredible story...
