When you say "number 16" you are referring to EBT #16 the Baldwin 2-8-2 right? I thought this was one of the 2-8-2s that are mothballed in the EBT enginehouse and 17 is the operable one. Do they have plans to restore #16 or have more than one of those later 2-8-2s operating?
Do you think there is any substance to my idea with roadrailers going between gauges? One possible market would be hauling TRASH... even if say the city of Chama hauled out their trash to a standard gauge road with #463 it would be less expensive then trucking it! (at least if they require having a hazmats endorsement like here). The Bay Colony Railroad right near me (operated by the infamous George Bartholemew for years) does basically nothing but haul trash.
