Yes, the poor 37's in Antonito are a very sad sight to see. But at the same time, we have engines like 491 in Golden, 499 in Canyon City that look stunning
Hopefully 492 will get restored to operating, and I would not mind seeing 497 steamed up again either. Its good that 463, the little giant, is getting fixed. She is the smallest survivor of all the K class locomotives (aside from her sister in Michigan), so the idea that the smallest locomotives get attention is a good sign
Hopefully we will all hit lottery jackpots, and be able to give huge donations like the one that gave RGS 20 her life back
Until then, lets keep these historic locomotives in good cosmetic shape, so they can at least inspire us to think how they would look running down the rails again.
