Bernie is correct. I spent a fair amount of time a couple of years ago trying to chase this all down, and with help from Dr. John Kirchner, I finally connected with two individuals in Brazil who were able to communicate in English. They confirmed that the locomotives and equipment at Perus Pirapora were tied up legally and that it was very unlikely that any would ever leave the site. The cement company had gone bankrupt and its assets had been declared heritage-worthy by the government, so nothing could be sold to satisfy the bankuptcy. My interest was only in one of the dumped engines, since obviously the boiler would have to be replaced anyway.
