A couple more significant tourist railroads come to mind. The Toonerville Trolley in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is a long ride.

There are grades and switchbacks among tall pines at the Nevada County Traction line at the Northern Queen Inn in Nevada City CA.

You can ride a version of Welsh trains at Wales West in Alabama.

24" gauge is one of the most common found at smaller amusement parks - in part due to the proliferation of Chance "C.P. Huntington" locomotives.
There are two defunct train rides that come to mind - one is the Alton Pacific in California

And the other is (I think) an abandoned amusement park in Cache, OK with a German 0-4-0T and one of those 0-8-0s that had the movable axles.
