There's a a two-foot railroad in Pennsylvania that's more or less flown "under the radar" for 40 years. It's the Bucksgahuda & Western RR near St. Mary's, PA. This volunteer-operation operates "Otto", a Henschel 0-4-0T, and a "home brew" 2-truck Shay, along with a Vulcan diesel-mechanical and a Brookville. The B&W has over a mile of track. A portion of the route is relaid on the roadbed of the long-abandoned standard-gauge Pittsburgh, Shawmut & Northern RR.
In addition to the motive power and an impressive collection of work equipment and rolling stock, the B&W has an engine house, turntable, and a passenger station, The station building was reconstructed following plans for a demolished PS&N depot. On one or two "open house" days each year, the B&W offers the public free rides.
