I too would like to "export" an engine or two, but in all good fairness what is amazing is that the complete collection has survived together and has a chance of being collected in one place with access to the public in the future. There will never be enough money to restore all the engines. But they belong together, the last operating 2ft. gauge in Brazil.
Kind of like the East Broad Top, it is a draw, magnet because there is so much equipment left at it's orginal place of operation. Not as a locomotive donor to multiple smaller operations. Surely the engines at the East Broad Top would find good homes and be restored sooner, but they are not at "home" then.
I hope that one day we can have an operation for school kids and normal people in Sao Paulo and enough railroad to get railfans to visit and support the work of a few (6-10 people)
Soon we will except donations if you want to sponsor a locomotive or anything else...
