John, I think I recall you sharing this story with us before, but thanks for doing so once again.
I completely understand why lights in these locations are necessary for the safe and efficient running of the RR, and I also agree that getting them up was the right thing to do. Clearly wrangling for years about them not looking right
while not doing anything positive to fix the problem was the worst possible approach to take. You can't have people stumbling around in the dark trying to do their already difficult jobs, and I don't think anyone here would suggest otherwise.
