John,
On a related note, during last summers June work sessions, I was assigned to Roger Brigg's and Jerry Sahnd's passenger car refurbishing crew. One of the issues that came up was availability of 110 volt AC power on the north side of the north station track along the parking lot where the cars we were repairing were set out. I ended up running a romex pseudo temporary feed UNDER all of the tracks from the north track to the north outside wall of the enginehouse. The area next to the parking lot could use an outlet or two (20 amps would probably be sufficient) either on or next to one of the existing parking lot lighting poles. I don't know if that could be part of the new lighting or not (especially if the new lighting is a higher voltage than 110 volts.) Just a thought here, maybe that is a project I could do for the friends next summer (I am an industrial electrician by trade) if it dosen't get done before. Serving on Roger's and Jerry's crew was a very positive experience for me. Can't make it this year, see ya next summer, I hope.
