To me there is a simple rule to follow in developing Chama and other historic rail sites.... If the D&RGW didn't have it, one shouldn't see it there today. Anything the D&RGW didn't have, be it floodlights, forklifts or whatever, should be at Antonito or at least out of sight from the historic Chama facility. Certainly there have to be a few (but hopefully disguised or hidden) modern amenities like bathrooms, but the more the site is added to, the less historic it becomes. As one who rides the midnite boxcar under the mercury vapor glare, I understand about lighting, but feel motion detectors and an on-site security person would be more appropriate at Chama.
