Because nothing else is available. At McEwen a very slow Qwest line is all there is. Jerry and I discussed a possible satellite connection, but SVRy simply can't afford one. We each have faster connections at home.

For pratical uses a .jpg with reduced bandwidth is adequate. I rarely post or email over 200k, and usually around 100k. If someone wants a higher rez image, I can send it to them on disc.
