Rick,
Smart young men need money to make these purchases. Also, who has a need for equipment? ... Who that would take better care than Stuhr?
The article says that their new "train restoration expert" doesn't want anything newer than 1900. This leaves just the F&CC coach and the C&S baggage that they would like to keep at Stuhr. Their expert also stated he's interested in quality over quantity.
There's narrow gauge hardware scattered all about the museum grounds. 69 is in multiple pieces. I understand that the local community college participated in the attempted restoration, and there are more misc. parts at the community college.
Here's what I know to exist in Grand Island, Nebraska. I may have missed something.
