While most of my passion for railroads is directed at those of a narrow gauge, I do have a strong interest in the steam power of the Norfolk & Western. Like most things railroad related, this comes from my grandfather, who loved steam, narrow gauge, and Y6bs.
In surfing the net for things Norfolk & Western related, I stumbled across a web site concerning the "Lost Engines of Roanoke" which is about four 4-8-0s in a scrap yard and the effort to save them.
Out of curiousity, are there any "lost engines" of a narrow gauge variety here in the United States, or anywhere else in the world for that matter.
These need not be steam, just narrow gauge, and they could be industrial as well as common carrier.
Just curious as to what still remains.
