Back to the TWO Mastadons at the Roanoke Scrap Yard Virginia. After visiting the excellent RR (Transportation) museum in Roanoke in April 2005 I took the short ride to the S/E side of town in hopes of seeing and photographing said locomotives. I checked into the office of the scrap yard and politely asked to visit the site. No way the people in charge told me. It seems to be a large yard and overgrown with trees and foilage so I decided I would not trespass as I did not know where they rested.
