Interesting question about the '27's. Who knows?
As for the relative size, I don't think there would have been any weight or clearance problems with a 470 on the RGS, they are only slightly larger than a K-27. I'm sure it never happened, but who the Hell knows?
For the longest time it was believed the 479 never was in Durango and that's been debunked.
